Hey People, 

So we are Derby ACS which provides a platform for African & Caribbean students at the University of Derby to come together. This society is an opportunity to educate our peers from all backgrounds of morals, norms and the cultural differences through a variety of events.

ACS aims to enhance your time at the University of Derby by providing an opportunity for you to meet like minded people in a friendly environment. Not only will you interact with fellow members of this society but, we aim to work alongside other societies and clubs within the university. In addition, we encourage you to network with the wider community so we arrange opportunities to me other students from various universities that are part of their ACS as well as, giving you the chance to help people in the local area.

Derby ACS is headed up by an executive committee comprising of: A President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasure & Events Officer. These five students have been elected in by members of the society to help get your voice heard and offer you a range of day and night events to make your time at university more enjoyable. Members are the foundation of Derby ACS therefore without students joining, taking part and having their say the society will not progress. So if you wish to learn more about various cultures in a fun way with easy going people that join the ACS. Membership is encouraged as it provides a network and a stronger rapport within the society. So get involved and bring all your friends as we welcome everyone to get involved.
