The Academy Bar
Your Students’ Union bar, located in the Students’ Union Quarter at Kedleston Road, is highly popular with students during the day and plays host to some great live acts and freshers’ events during the evenings.
The venue has two levels with the bar, pool table, Wi-Fi access and loads of seating on the ground floor and a computer suite on the first floor where you can study, use the internet and have a drink all at the same time.
There is also a large decking area outside, for those sunny days and warm evenings, which overlooks the new 3G sports pitch so you can sit outside and watch our sports teams in action most Wednesday afternoons.
The Academy is a great place to come for your lunch too – with a wide range of hot food including pizzas, panini, jacket potatoes and baguettes served all day for great prices including the mouthwatering Academy Burger for just £3.50! You’ll find that our food and drinks are at some of the lowest prices you’ll find in Derby.
