Dusted: The Student Magazine.
Dusted is the monthly magazine released by the University of Derby Students Union. The content of the magazine is provided by students and i am simply responsible for editing the magazine. It is really easy to get involved in and every single student studying at the university has the oppurtunity to contribute to the magazine.
Dusted, as with any form of student media, is only as successfull as its contributions allow it to be and therefore i cannot emphasise enough the importance of you, the students, getting involved and submitting articles to what is essentially your magazine.
There is also scope for you to become a sub-editor of specific areas of Dusted, which will not only increase your involvement and influence on the content of the magazine, but also looks great on your CV to supplement your formal qualifications. If you have any questions regarding sub-editorial positions please do not hesitate to contact me.
I would also like to emphasise the point that that you decide your level of involvement. You may want to write a monthly political article or simply want to write a one off piece regarding something that has impressed/challenged/angered or upset you during the month. Whatever you want, Dusted is your magazine and essentially you decide the content.
Remember, if you want to start contributing to Dusted, you need to ensure that you submit work on time and either before or on the deadline date, otherwise we wont be able to include it within the next issue.
If you have any questions regarding Dusted please do not hesitate to contact me on the following:
