Safeguarding
Your safety is important to us!
Because you matter so much to us, we want to ensure that you are safe at College and whilst involved in any of our activities and/or events run through your Students' Union. To ensure your safety we work with Buxton College and the Derbyshire Safeguarding Children's Board to ensure that our staff are properly trained and are there to listen to any concerns you have about yourself or any other student(s) in the College.
We have particular responsibilities relating to our members aged 18 years and under and students with learning difficulties and disabilities, but we also are responsible for ensuring the well being of all our adult members.
There are certain things which you can do to let us know if you have a concern relating to either your safety or the safety of any other students at Buxton College; firstly, you can let us know by contacting one of our staff members who will be there to listen to your concerns and then, to act appropriately, keeping you informed along the way.
