The University of Derby Buxton Hockey Club are a small team with a big fan base. We always try to work well as a team, and enjoy many social nights out together. The club has a great relationship with the Derby Campus hockey team, and one of the best competitions of the year is the Mini Varsity, between Buxton and Derby. There is always great banter between the teams.

During the 2011-2012 season the hockey team will be hosting social event to raise money for the club and to show the freshers what the Hockey Club is all about. At the end of every hockey season the team travel to Stone in Staffordshire to partake in a competition against other universities and other hockey clubs. They will be returning in summer 2012 to defend their title.

Buxton Hockey Club train every Monday from 5pm to 6.30pm at the local astro turf. Training subs are £3. Men have fixtures every Wednesday consiting of home matches and away matches.
