Dusted is The University of Derby Student Magazine, published monthly throughout the academic year it’s written by students, for students and is a showcase of student journalism as well as a source of news and entertainment. Renamed DUSTED (Derby University Students’ Total Entertainment Digest) in 2003, the student magazine has progressed from a photocopied ‘zine, through a broadsheet newspaper to it’s current glossy, pocket-friendly, 48 page format.
Over 4,000 copies are printed each month and delivered to over 15 locations around Derby including; bars, cafés, halls of residence and of course all University sites.
Each year an Editor and four Sub Editors are appointed into their roles to lead the magazine and coordinate the submissions. These submissions from students include articles, reviews, photography, illustration and more. All you need to have to submit a piece to Dusted is a little skill and some inspiration – email dusted@udsu.co.uk if you’re interested.
