The UoD Buxton Netball Club comprises of hard-working, dedicated, fun and friendly members who are interested in achieving fitness and success through sport. Our priorities for 2010/11 include: strengthening relations within the local community; increasing our work for local and national charities; and expanding the numbers of both competitive and social members of the club.

The recently refurbished training centre and brand new team kit are two of the improvements that will provide the opportunity to wear Team Derby with pride. Additionally, training sessions are currently being restructured with the focus on maximising team match ability and fitness levels.

Although the initial club focus is competition success, the club committee is also invested in recognisable achievement in other areas. Individual interest in umpiring and coaching improvement is welcome, in addition to involvement from social members in event and charity activities being encouraged. Whichever aspect you are interested in there is opportunity for you to have input and impact in the club.

After the success of 2010 Salou Sports Tour, the social aspect of sport club involvement has become an increased point of interest. This year's events such as Netball Neon Night in October, Team Derby intra-netball socials at Walkabout and Sports Tour 2011 promise to be massive successes so get involved!
