The Students' Union and NUS
The National Union of Students (NUS) is a national organisation of which Students' can affiliate to. NUS provides support, advice, access to commercial ventures for the Student’s Union furthermore it offers representation for Students on a National level.
Our relationship with NUS comes from our affiliation fee for this we gain access to NUS research, support service in the form of documentation and help from the East Midlands regional team. NUS also provides many training, networking and education opportunities for the Sabbatical Officers, Part-time officers and our staff.
The NUS campaigns on behalf of students lobbying MP's and government organisations over issues that affect students. It also co-ordinates national campaigns at campuses throughout our University.
NUS Extra Card (Includes ISIC card)
NUS also runs the extra card that offers enhanced discounts and offers to students to help make your money go further. In addition our members have access to products purchased through NUS Services Ltd that allows us access to bulk buying in order to provide you with cheaper products in our bars and services.
