The railway society is one of the newest societies at the University of Derby Students’ Union. It is the society for those students who have an interest in:

• Railways and their associated activities.
• Model Railways.
• Computer Railway Simulator Games.

We hope to organise various activities throughout the year, which may include:

• Trips to preserved railways and other places of railway interest.
• Building and running model railway layouts.
• Developing content for computer train simulators.

Membership of the society costs £3 for the year. To join go to the Students’ Union, ask for a society membership form, fill out the details and pay the membership fee.
