The University of Derby Treefrogs is a society made up of a wide range of people brought together by their love for pole fitness and aerial arts! These are unique types of fitness which have been massively growing in popularity.
Pole fitness and aerial arts are sports that everyone can enjoy, no matter your gender, shape, size or ability. These will increase your strength, flexibility, posture and confidence. They are fun, regular exercises that you won’t be able get enough of, with the opportunity to compete in and attend competitions.
Joining the society will provide you with discounted lessons in the Derby studios; including one owned by Emma Haslam, from Britain’s Got Talent, and one owned by the inventor of Polesilks, Sue Colebourne, at which one of our own society coaches is an instructor!
We are sponsored by Vodka Revolution Derby, which means cheap drinks and a venue for our events. We organise free pole jams and regular social events, often alongside other societies and sports teams.
Also, as part of the society, you will be invited to attend the societies’ award night at the end of the academic year, which is an emotional occasion to reflect on the skills you’ve gained and friends you’ve made throughout the year. Join us and discover your passion!
